With the conviction that Education is the only weapon which can eradicate poverty, Dr Dodla Ramachandra Reddy established Visvodaya Educational Society in 1952 in Kavali. PBR Visvodaya Institute of Technology & Science was established under the aegis of Visvodaya Society in 1998 with an initial intake of 160 students in the Undergraduate courses. At present, the total sanctioned intake is 1710, comprising 1560 undergraduate seats in various disciplines, including Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, CSE- Artificial Intelligence, CSE-Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, 30 in two M.Tech Specializations and 120 in MBA.

PBR Visvodaya Institute of Technology & Science is awarded permanent affiliation by JNTUA, Anantapuramu. It had been accredited by NAAC with an A grade in 2015 for 5 years and B+ grade in 2021 for 5 years. The departments of ECE, CSE, EEE and ME had been accredited by NBA at the UG level for three years in 2010, recently the departments of EEE & ECE are accredited by NBA at the UG level for three years in 2024 and the department of CSE is accredited by NBA at the UG level for three Years in 2025. The institution has been given 2(f) and 12(B) by the UGC in the year 2013. Recognizing the potential of the institution, the software giant TCS has accredited it in 2010 and KPIT Cummins, Pune has given its accreditation in 2013.

Believing that faculty is the backbone of any educational institution. The institution has 326 teaching staff including 34 Professors, 22 Associate Professors and 270 Assistant Professors. Apart from direct academic activity, the teaching staff are involved in research activities as well as in consultancy works.

Wg. Cdr. I.P.C. Reddy is the driving force behind the institution's disciplined academic progress. A gold medalist in Engineering, he rendered distinguished service in the technical branch of Indian Air Force for 22 years. With his abundant knowledge and wide experience, he is actively taking the technical institution forward in its path towards excellence. He firmly believes that Discipline is a paramount prerequisite to reach any chosen goal in life .

Dr. V. ANIL KUMAR

Dr. V. Anil Kumar is a highly accomplished academician with about two decades of teaching experience. Currently serving as Principal & Professor in the EEE department at PBR Visvodaya Institute of Science & Technology, he has held various leadership roles, including Principal & HoD in reputed organization. His academic journey includes a Ph.D from Pondicherry Central University, M.E in PE & Drives from Anna University, and B.Tech in EEE from JNTU, Hyderabad. Dr. Anil Kumar has a strong research background, with 12 publications in national/international journals and 7 presentations in conferences. He has attended 22 workshops/FDPs and holds NPTEL certifications in Control Engineering, IOT, Data Science, and Python. Notably, he secured 3rd rank in the Ph.D entrance test at Pondicherry Central University and received the Best Paper Award at the ICAES 2020 conference. With his proven leadership skills and commitment to education, Dr. Anil Kumar is an excellent principal and professor, inspiring students and faculty alike. His dedication to academia and passion for innovation make him a valuable asset to any institution.

D.Vidyadhar Kumar Reddy, the chairman of the institution, has inherited the profound legacy of his father, Late. Dr.D.Ramachandra Reddy, the founder and a well-known philanthropist. Carrying his father's noble ideals in his heart, Mr. D.V.K. Reddy has emerged as a dynamic leader and an able administrator. Under his dynamic and focused stewardship, the institution is making great strides in the field of technical education. He is deeply convinced that value-added education is the pressing need of the present time and is committed to produce graduates, instilled with a sense of moral responsibility towards the society.

D. Vinay Kumar Reddy

Born in family of philanthropists and literateurs, Sri D. Vinay Kumar Redy is post graduate in chemistry. He has inherited the enduring legacy of his father, Dr. D R Reddy, the icon of social justice, who strove life long to better the lives of the neglected multitude of the society. It is this singleness of vision that drives the dynamic rector to carve out new schemes and diversified strategies to chalk-out student-oriented programmes to promote healthy work culture and spirit of research among the students as well as teachers. His love for arts, culture and sports is instrumental in bringing out the halcyon days of Visvodaya to the fore.
